What is CVE-2025-14113?

The Viitor Button Shortcodes plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the 'link' shortcode attribute. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 3.0.0, enabling authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute whenever users access the compromised pages, posing a significant security risk to both site administrators and visitors.
