What is CVE-2025-14608?

The WP Last Modified Info plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows attackers with Author-level access and above to modify the metadata of posts without adequate permission checks. Specifically, this occurs in all versions up to and including 1.9.5, where the 'bulk_save' AJAX action fails to validate user access to a post before allowing modifications. Consequently, attackers can manipulate the 'last modified' metadata and potentially lock the modification date of arbitrary posts, including those created by Administrators, which could mislead users regarding the actual timeline of content updates.
