What is CVE-2025-14797?
The Same Category Posts plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability due to inadequate handling of the widget title placeholder functionality. This flaw allows attackers with Author-level access and above to inject malicious scripts into pages, exploiting the use of htmlspecialchars_decode() on taxonomy term names, which can result in the execution of unwanted scripts whenever a user visits an infected page.
