What is CVE-2025-1489?

The WP-Appbox plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in its appbox shortcode. This vulnerability allows authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into pages. When users visit these compromised pages, the injected scripts will execute, posing significant security risks to the site and its visitors.
