Unauthorized Access Vulnerability in The Events Calendar Plugin by WordPress
CVE-2025-15043
What is CVE-2025-15043?
The Events Calendar plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with subscriber or higher access to perform unauthorized actions. This flaw arises from a missing capability check in the 'start_migration', 'cancel_migration', and 'revert_migration' functions. As a result, attackers can initiate, halt, or revert the migration of Custom Tables V1, potentially leading to the complete deletion of custom database tables through the revert action. Users are advised to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
