What is CVE-2025-15433?

The Shared Files plugin for WordPress, prior to version 1.7.58, contains a path traversal vulnerability that permits users with a low-level role, such as Contributor, to download sensitive files from the web server. This issue can lead to unauthorized exposure of critical files, including the wp-config.php file, which stores vital configuration details for WordPress sites. Exploiting this vulnerability requires minimal permissions, making it particularly dangerous for sites utilizing this plugin.
