What is CVE-2025-15524?

The Gallery by FooGallery plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability allowing unauthorized access to sensitive gallery information. Due to a missing capability check in the ajax_get_gallery_info() function, authenticated users with Subscriber-level access or higher can exploit this weakness to enumerate gallery IDs and retrieve metadata—such as names, image counts, and thumbnail URLs—from private, draft, and password-protected galleries. This could lead to unauthorized exposure of gallery data, compromising the privacy and security of users' content.
