What is CVE-2025-1671?

The Academist Membership plugin for WordPress, up to version 1.1.6, suffers from a critical vulnerability due to improper verification of user identities in the academist_membership_check_facebook_user() function. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to assume the identity of any user, facilitating unauthorized access that could lead to compromising user accounts, including those of site administrators.
