What is CVE-2025-1689?
The ThemeMakers PayPal Express Checkout plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate sanitization of user input and failure to escape output on the 'paypal' shortcode. This issue allows authenticated users with contributor-level permissions and above to inject malicious scripts into web pages. When these pages are accessed by other users, the scripts will execute, potentially leading to unauthorized actions on behalf of the user and compromising the security of the site.
