What is CVE-2025-20689?

The MediaTek WLAN AP driver has a vulnerability that allows an out of bounds read due to improper bounds checking. This flaw could facilitate local information disclosure, potentially exposing sensitive data. Although user execution privileges are required for this vulnerability to be exploited, user interaction is not necessary. The issue has been documented under Issue ID: MSV-3479, and a patch has been released to address the vulnerability.
