What is CVE-2025-2162?

The MapPress Maps for WordPress plugin, prior to version 2.94.10, fails to properly sanitize and escape certain settings. This oversight enables high privilege users, such as administrators, to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, even when the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, which is particularly concerning in a multisite environment. Addressing this vulnerability is critical to ensure the security of sites utilizing the plugin and protect against potential malicious exploits.
