What is CVE-2025-2290?
The LifterLMS plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a security flaw that allows unauthenticated users to modify the status of published posts by changing them to 'Trash'. This vulnerability arises from a lack of capability checks within the 'delete_access_plan' function and associated AJAX calls, affecting all versions of the plugin up to and including 8.0.1. As a result, this can lead to unauthorized content management, severely impacting the availability of website data.
