What is CVE-2025-2561?

The Ninja Forms plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in versions prior to 3.10.1. This flaw arises due to insufficient sanitization and escaping of certain settings, potentially allowing high privilege users, such as administrators, to execute XSS attacks. This is particularly concerning when the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, such as in a multisite environment, which could lead to unauthorized script execution in user browsers.

Affected Version(s)

Ninja Forms 0 < 3.10.1

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
