What is CVE-2025-3044?

A vulnerability in the ArxivReader class of the run-llama/llama_index repository, present in versions up to v0.12.22.post1, can lead to MD5 hash collisions when generating filenames for downloaded academic papers. This flaw may result in data loss, as papers with the same title but differing content could overwrite one another, thereby hindering the processing of some papers for AI model training. The issue has been addressed in version 0.12.28.
