What is CVE-2025-3502?
The WP Maps plugin prior to version 4.7.2 suffers from a vulnerability due to inadequate sanitization and escaping of its map settings. This flaw can enable high privilege users, including administrators, to carry out Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even in scenarios where the unfiltered_html capability is restricted, such as in multisite environments. This presents a serious security risk as it could allow attackers to inject malicious scripts into web pages viewed by other users.
