What is CVE-2025-3597?

The Firelight Lightbox plugin for WordPress suffers from a vulnerability that allows users with post writing capabilities to execute arbitrary JavaScript code. This occurs when the jQuery Metadata library is enabled, which should only be accessible to Pro version users; however, it can also be activated within the free version. This flaw can potentially expose WordPress sites to malicious attacks, as it allows unauthorized actions to be performed on the affected platform.
