The Simple Shopping Cart plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting through the 'wp_cart_button' shortcode. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping practices concerning user-supplied attributes. It enables authenticated users with contributor-level access and above to insert arbitrary web scripts within pages. These scripts will execute when a user accesses the modified pages, potentially compromising user security and integrity.
