The Animated Buttons plugin for WordPress suffers from a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes through the 'auto-downloader' shortcode. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher to inject malicious web scripts into pages. The compromised scripts are executed when users access the affected pages, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or data exposure.
