What is CVE-2025-4405?
The Hot Random Image plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 1.9.2, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or above to inject malicious scripts through the 'link' parameter. When a user accesses the compromised pages, the injected scripts are executed, potentially compromising user accounts and sensitive data.
