What is CVE-2025-4431?

The Featured Image Plus – Quick & Bulk Edit with Unsplash plugin for WordPress has a critical vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers, including those with Subscriber-level access, to alter the featured image of any post. This occurs due to a missing capability check within the fip_save_attach_featured function. All versions up to and including 1.6.3 are affected. This flaw highlights the importance of implementing robust capability checks to prevent unauthorized modifications.
