What is CVE-2025-4666?

The Zotpress plugin for WordPress is exposed to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability through the ā€˜nickname’ parameter. This flaw is present in all versions up to and including 7.3.15 and arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. Authenticated attackers with at least Author-level permissions can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious web scripts into pages. Once injected, these scripts will execute whenever a user accesses the affected page, potentially compromising user data and site security.
