The ESV Bible Shortcode for WordPress plugin allows authenticated users with contributor-level access and above to exploit a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability. This flaw arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'esv' shortcode. Attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, leading to potential data theft or website compromise when users visit affected pages.
