Stored XSS in Runners Log Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2025-5541
What is CVE-2025-5541?
The Runners Log plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability impacting all versions up to 3.9.2. This issue stems from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'runnerslog' shortcode. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher may exploit this flaw to inject malicious scripts into pages. The injected scripts will execute whenever users access a compromised page, posing a significant threat to user data and site integrity.
