What is CVE-2025-5699?

The Developer Formatter plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping methods. This vulnerability impacts all versions up to and including 2015.0.2.1. Authenticated attackers with administrator privileges can exploit this security flaw on multi-site installations where unfiltered_html is disabled, allowing them to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts execute whenever a user visits an affected page, posing significant security risks for users.
