What is CVE-2025-6215?
The Omnishop plugin for WordPress contains a significant security flaw that allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass registration restrictions. The exposed /users/register endpoint, which always grants permissions, enables the invocation of wp_create_user() without any site checks, including the users_can_register option or nonce and CAPTCHA validations. This vulnerability permits unauthorized user account creation, undermining the site's security protocols where user registrations should be deactivated.
