What is CVE-2025-6236?

The Hostel Plugin for WordPress prior to version 1.1.5.9 contains vulnerabilities related to improper data sanitization and escaping of its settings. This oversight allows users with high privileges, including administrators, to execute stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. These attacks can be particularly impactful in multisite setups where the unfiltered_html capability is typically restricted, creating opportunities for exploitation despite such restrictions.
