Sensitive Data Exposure in Coder Workspace Agent Logs
CVE-2025-66411
What is CVE-2025-66411?
The Coder platform, known for enabling organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform, has a vulnerability involving the logging of sensitive information. In versions prior to 2.26.5, 2.27.7, and 2.28.4, Workspace Agent manifests were improperly logged in plaintext, leaving sensitive values exposed. This situation allows an attacker with limited access to the Coder Workspace—whether through VM, K8s Pod, or third-party systems such as SIEM and logging stacks—to exploit these logs and access confidential information. The vulnerability has been addressed in the noted versions to enhance security.
