What is CVE-2025-7653?

The EPay.bg Payments plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows for Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on attributes supplied by users via the 'epay' shortcode. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts. Such scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an affected page, posing significant security risks to the site and its users.
