What is CVE-2025-8200?
The Mega Elements – Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows for Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through its Countdown Timer widget. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts execute whenever a user accesses the compromised pages, potentially compromising user data and leading to further attacks.
