What is CVE-2025-8397?

The Save as PDF Button plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-defined attributes within the restpackpdfbutton shortcode. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into web pages. These scripts will execute whenever another user accesses the compromised page, potentially leading to data theft or unauthorized actions on behalf of the users.
