What is CVE-2025-8413?
The Listeo theme for WordPress presents a vulnerability that allows stored cross-site scripting (XSS) through the 'soundcloud' shortcode. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in versions up to and including 2.0.8. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access can exploit this vulnerability to inject harmful web scripts into pages, which will execute when other users access those pages, leading to potential data breaches and compromised user security.
