What is CVE-2025-8617?

The YITH WooCommerce Quick View plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability. This flaw arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on attributes supplied by users, particularly through the plugin's yith_quick_view shortcode. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. This malicious code will execute every time a user accesses an affected page, posing significant security risks.
