What is CVE-2025-8622?

The Flexible Map plugin for WordPress exhibits a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and higher to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). This occurs via the plugin's Flexible Maps shortcode due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. As a result, attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages which execute when unsuspecting users access the compromised content.
