What is CVE-2025-8689?
The Elements Plus! plugin for WordPress allows authenticated users with contributor-level access and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in its Image Comparison, HotSpot Plus, and Google Maps widgets. This flaw can result in the injection of arbitrary web scripts, compromising the integrity of content and leading to potential exploitation whenever affected pages are accessed by users.
