What is CVE-2025-8722?
The Content Views plugin for WordPress suffers from a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in its Grid and List widgets. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions can exploit this flaw to inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts execute automatically whenever a user accesses a compromised page, posing significant security risks to site visitors.
