The Compress & Upload plugin for WordPress, prior to version 1.0.5, contains a security flaw where it fails to properly validate uploaded files. This oversight enables users with elevated privileges, such as administrators, to upload arbitrary files to the server, even in environments like multisite setups where such actions should be restricted.
