What is CVE-2025-9490?

The Popup Maker plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through the 'title' parameter. This vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 1.20.6 due to lack of proper input sanitization and output escaping mechanisms. Authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious web scripts into pages. When users access any compromised page, these scripts execute, potentially leading to unauthorized actions and compromise of user data.
