What is CVE-2025-9565?
The Blocksy Companion plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through the 'blocksy_newsletter_subscribe' shortcode. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied data across all versions up to 2.1.10. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to inject potentially malicious scripts into pages, which execute when users visit the compromised page, exposing them to unauthorized actions or data theft.
