What is CVE-2025-9855?

The Enhanced BibliPlug plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through its 'bibliplug_authors' shortcode, impacting all versions up to and including 1.3.8. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes, enabling authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts. These harmful scripts can execute whenever a victim accesses affected pages, potentially leading to unauthorized data access and other malicious actions.
