The Embed Google Datastudio plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows for stored cross-site scripting (XSS) via the 'egds' shortcode. This flaw arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this weakness to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. Any user accessing these compromised pages may unknowingly execute harmful scripts, which could lead to various exploitation scenarios.
