What is CVE-2026-0557?
The WP Data Access plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate sanitization and escaping of user input in the 'wpda_app' shortcode. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers, with at least contributor-level access, to inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts can execute when users access compromised pages, potentially leading to data theft, session hijacking, or further exploitation of the site.
