What is CVE-2026-0916?

The Related Posts by Taxonomy plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers, specifically those with contributor-level access and above, to execute arbitrary web scripts on pages through insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on attributes used in the plugin's 'related_posts_by_tax' shortcode. This risk persists across all versions up to and including version 2.7.6, enabling attackers to compromise user sessions and modify content seen by users who access the affected pages.
