What is CVE-2026-100153?

The NewStatPress plugin for WordPress presents a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability through insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the 'QUERY_STRING / REQUEST_URI' parameter. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts into pages viewed by users. The exploit is contingent on an administrator using the [NewStatPress type="Top Pages"] shortcode on a publicly accessible page, along with crafted URLs that gather sufficient hits to appear in the top-N ranking.
