What is CVE-2026-100182?

The Download Monitor plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts on pages by tricking an authenticated Administrator into visiting a malicious page. Once the payload is injected via the unfiltered_html capability, it can persist unfiltered and be executed on the frontend through the [download_data] shortcode, allowing attackers potential access to sensitive data and functionalities.

Affected Version(s)
