What is CVE-2026-101889?

The Prime Mover plugin for WordPress versions prior to 2.2.1 suffers from a path traversal vulnerability. This flaw allows authenticated administrators to execute harmful directory deletions by importing a specially crafted WPRIME/TAR package that manipulates the tar_root_folder values in the wprime-config.json file. Insufficient path validation in key functions, such as computeExtractVariables() and validateImportedSiteVsPackage(), can lead to the unintended execution of primeMoverDoDelete(), potentially allowing the deletion of critical WordPress directories like wp-admin. Such actions could render the website completely inoperable, posing a significant risk to site integrity and availability.

Affected Version(s)
