What is CVE-2026-102401?

The Download Manager plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows stored cross-site scripting attacks through the 'regurl' parameter. This issue affects all versions up to and including 3.3.71 and stems from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts into web pages, compromising the security of users who visit affected pages while logged out. The vulnerability primarily impacts visitors, as the login-form.php template used by authenticated users is different, preventing the execution of the injected scripts.
