What is CVE-2026-103299?

The Payment Gateway WordPress plugin, in versions up to 2.2.0, fails to enforce configuration of a shared secret for authenticating bank payment-notification callbacks. This oversight enables unauthenticated attackers to craft valid notifications, allowing them to erroneously mark any WooCommerce order as paid. Additionally, attackers can manipulate the order status of pending transactions, marking them as failed, regardless of whether a shared secret has been set. This vulnerability poses severe risks to online transactions, making prompt attention and mitigation essential.

Affected Version(s)

Payment Gateway 0 <= 2.2.0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
