What is CVE-2026-103504?

A flaw in Gitea allows changes to an organization's team permissions through an API call using only the permission field, which fails to update the team's per-unit access. Consequently, when an organization owner lowers a team's permission level, existing members retain their previous permissions, including inappropriate write access to repositories. This vulnerability does not impact the web form, highlighting a significant risk for unauthorized access within the system.
