Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in User Frontend Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-103962

6.1MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-103962?

The User Frontend plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability caused by inadequate input sanitization of the 'field_attr[required]' parameter. This flaw affects all versions up to and including 4.3.13, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts into web pages. These scripts can execute when users are manipulated into clicking on crafted links. The nonce verification method used in the wpuf_get_child_cat AJAX action fails to mitigate the risk, as the nonce is publicly accessible, enabling attackers to harvest it without authentication.

Affected Version(s)

User Frontend – Membership, User Registration, User Profile, User Directory & Content Restriction with Frontend Post Submission 0 <= 4.3.13
