Security Flaw in Gitea Actions Affecting Workflow Runs from Fork Pull Requests
CVE-2026-104632
8.8HIGH
What is CVE-2026-104632?
The Gitea Actions feature has a significant flaw that affects the handling of job runs from first-time contributors submitting fork pull requests. Until a maintainer approves these runs, they are meant to be blocked. However, if a user with Actions write access cancels a pending workflow run that requires approval and immediately re-runs it, the system incorrectly allows the new jobs to be created and wait instead of remaining blocked. This oversight enables unauthorized re-execution of workflow code from forked pull request heads on the repository's runners, bypassing the necessary approval controls when Actions is enabled and a corresponding runner is registered.
